A walk in Flint

This town never looked better than yesterday, when Ted and I took an hour long walk through the College/Cultural neighborhood, Burroughs and Woodlawn Parks with our camera. Here are some of the results.
Late afternoon sun through the trees of Burroughs Park
Looking east at Burroughs Park

Path along Gilkey Creek
Entrance to Woodlawn Park Drive
Red tree on Lynwood

Looks so beautiful! I must say, as much as I LOVE the weather in San Diego, it feels a bit ridiculous that on the first of November, it is in the mid-80s...I do miss fall in Michigan. Except for the inevitable progression to winter...

Thanks for weighing in, Dr. Banilla! Yeah, we Michiganders know we have to enjoy the tangy pleasures of October/early November while we have the chance. It takes fortitude!

There are rare moments in San Francisco when it smells and feels like fall in Michigan, but they are very fleeting. It was nice to see these beautiful photos.

Thanks, Gordie. As you can tell, if you're in the right neighborhood it can look darn good around here.
